Anti-Desiccant Spray

Anti-desiccant sprays are applied to evergreen trees and shrubs using a product called Transfilm. This treatment will aid in holding moisture in the plants by creating a clear protective layer on the needles and leaves and will inhibit tip burn caused by the high winds that we experience along the Front Range during the winter season. Once applied, anti-desiccant sprays will also lower the water requirements of the plant during our harsh winter conditions. This treatment is applied once during late fall or early winter and along with a winter watering will greatly help to reduce winter desiccation on your landscape trees and shrubs.
